Just recently, our doctoral candidates attended the 12th @International Congress on Biocatalysis held at Hamburg University of Technology, which brings together researchers working at the forefront of biocatalysis and enzyme technology.
The conference covered an exciting range of topics, reflecting how rapidly the field is evolving – from AI-driven enzyme engineering and reaction prediction to advanced reaction cascades involving electro-, chemo-, and photo-biocatalysis.
Suresh Rohan, Corina Sjulbura and Flora Bindreiter had a rewarding experience presenting their current work through their posters with Suresh also having a flash talk. Communicating their work in a concise format and discussing it with researchers from different backgrounds was valuable and a great opportunity to receive new perspectives.
The ship ride and dinner on board, with the beautiful views of Hamburg, was definitely one of the highlights.
A big thank you the organizers, speakers, and fellow researchers for creating such an inspiring environment for scientific exchange and collaborations.
