A delegation from the BiodeCCodiNNg consortium recently had a fantastic time at the #AmineBioCat 6.0 conference in #Aachen, Germany!
The event was impressively organized by one of our PIs, Prof. Dörte Rother, with Flora Bindreiter – one of our DCs – as part of the organization team. 👏
We were proud to see many of our DCs — namely Annika Hein, Nikita Pal, Flora Bindreiter, Lan Zadravec, and Lindelo Mguni — presenting their work during the #poster sessions and in speed talks, sparking engaging discussions throughout. Not just that – but we are also super proud to congratulate Nikita Pal for winning the Poster Prize, sponsored by Prozomix Limited! 🏆 Well done and very much deserved, Nikita!
One of the conference sessions was actually sponsored by #BiodeCCodiNNg. Our project coordinator Prof. Sandy Schmidt introduced our consortium to the audience in a great speed talk. The sponsoring allowed us to invite Prof. Kenichi Matsuda from Hokkaido University, Japan, who gave an exciting #keynote lecture on his group’s discovery of novel biosynthetic pathways involving N-N bond formation! Following his presentation, our own DC Simon Schröder gave an insightful and inspiring talk about the #NNzyme research conducted within BiodeCCodiNNg — another proud moment for us!
It was a pleasure exchanging ideas and connecting with fellow scientists working on amine-converting and N–N bond forming enzymes. We are really excited to see the broad interest in the research conducted within #BiodeCCodiNNg!
Now, we are already looking forward to the next edition of AmineBioCat (7.0) 2027 in France! 🇫🇷
