Last week, Annika Hein (DC4) and Lan Julij Zadravec (DC9) represented the BiodeCCodiNNg Doctoral Network at the 16th Meeting of Young Chemical Engineers (SMLKI2026), which was organized by the University of Zagreb Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology in cooperation with the Croatian Society of Chemical Engineers. This two-day #conference aims to bring together young professionals from all over Croatia and beyond its borders to encourage the exchange of (soon-to-be) young scientists from chemical, biochemical, and environmental #engineering.
Overall, 287 participants and 131 posters were presented. Lan and Annika contributed to the poster presentations and had engaging conversations and discussions about their research on biocatalysis and reaction engineering. Annika was also awarded the third prize in the poster competition sponsored by the MDPI Journal Coatings. Overall, it was a very successful event for #BiodeCCodiNNg!
