Three years ago, I started my #PhDjourney in a new and unfamiliar country, with many questions about what lay ahead. Today, three years later, I look back with a great sense of gratitude for how much this journey has taught me — both scientifically and personally.
The past three years have been filled with new places, new experiences, inspiring colleagues, and continuous learning. From moving between different places and attending numerous #BiodeCCodiNNg training schools, to learning a new language and building connections with people from diverse backgrounds, every experience has contributed to my growth.
Scientifically, I have had the opportunity to learn and develop in biochemistry, structural biology, and enzymology, with enriching secondment experiences in Barcelona and Groningen. Presenting and participating in conferences in Basel, Munich, and Hamburg has further broadened my perspective and allowed me to exchange ideas with researchers from different fields and backgrounds.
Now, as I enter the final stage of this journey, I am looking forward to finishing my thesis, preparing for my defense, and exploring new opportunities for the next chapter of my career.
Three years down — grateful for everything I have learned, proud of how far I have come, and excited for what comes next. 🔬✨
