✨ New lab, new adventure! ✨
This January, I packed my bags (and my proteins) and moved for my academic #secondment to the University of Groningen from the University of Graz. ✈️🚆
With a background in structural biology, I’m eager to use this opportunity to expand my skill set. I look forward to exploring the field of biocatalysis and analyzing my #NNzymes. 🧪
I am particularly excited to collaborate with Simon and Prof. Sandy Schmidt and to be part of the research community in Groningen while spending time with my fellow DCs Carina and Corina.
I anticipate engaging in productive discussions, learning new techniques, and gaining fresh perspectives-both scientific and geographical. Who knows, I might even discover a new favorite Dutch habit along the way.

Fun fact: Nikita’s arrival marked the beginning of a two-week period in which five of our DCs were working in the same lab! (And six in the same country!)
