It really doesn’t feel like three years have passed since starting my #PhDjourney at the University of Groningen as part of #BiodeCCodiNNg. Sometimes it feels much longer, sometimes it feels much shorter than that. I’ve grown a lot personally and professionally during that time and feel excited to start into this fourth and final year, wrapping up on many of the projects we’ve started and planning the next steps.
During the previous year, I completed my industrial research stay at AstraZeneca, attended the NextGenBiocat #conference and Nikita Pal and us managed to publish our structure paper in ChemBioChem. I’ve supervised an excellent master student, who finished her thesis recently and will soon start a PhD herself in our group in Groningen as part of the next MSCA doctoral network, HaloVerse. We’ve continued collaborating across borders and I am excited (yet slightly intimidated) regarding this final stretch ahead!
