Hello! My name is Lan and I recently joined the Department of Reaction Engineering and Catalysis at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology to work on my PhD as part of the BiodeCCodiNNg Doctoral Network.
Moving to a new country, even one that is directly next to the one where I grew up has taken some adjustment, but I think I’ve found my footing quite well. Zagreb is a wonderful city and I have spent quite some time exploring the city center and checking out various bookstores and cafes. 🗺📚☕
The research team at the department has been very welcoming and I have enjoyed working with them and getting to know them. At present my work has mostly been reading up on the relevant literature and procuring the supplies necessary to perform my research. I always get excited when a new delivery arrives. 🚚📦⚗
I look forward to working together with others from the network and seeing what we can achieve.
