Goodbye Zagreb and hello to Gothenburg!
After completing my #secondment at the University of Zagreb, I travelled over 1300 km to head into my final research placement outside of Groningen: my industrial secondment at AstraZeneca in Sweden.
Here, I recently joined Professor Martin Hayes‘ #biocatalysis team to gain an insight into industrial R&D. I am very excited to be able to continue my research and learn how to apply state-of-the-art, high-throughput analytics to my project on novel #NNzymes. Our aim is to contribute to a deeper understanding of hydrazine synthetases and to expand the toolbox of industrial #biotechnology in the future.
I am beyond excited to see how industry approaches biocatalysis and green chemistry, and I hope to learn a great deal on this detour from academia.
