Can’t believe it has been two years since starting my #PhD at the University of Groningen. For me, this now marks the halfway point of my studies, which is exciting and frightening at the same time.Â
The recent year of this journey has been quite eventful. I was able to attend workshops in Gothenburg and Zagreb on industrial processes and reaction modeling, had my second academic #secondment at my old lab in Bochum to work on enzyme #immobilization, had the privilege to present a #poster at the Advances in Chemical Biology conference in Frankfurt and give a presentation at the #AmineBioCat conference in Aachen.Â
Collaboration within #BiodeCCodiNNg is fruitful with many ongoing projects. I am grateful to my supervisor Prof. Sandy Schmidt and all my PhD colleagues here and abroad – it is inspiring to work with you! Our group published two articles on #NNzymes in ACS Catalysis, and I am delighted that I was able to contribute to both.Â
The next year will hopefully be filled with exciting results, new connections and learning opportunities, for example during more BiodeCCodiNNg workshops or my industrial secondment to AstraZeneca this winter. Keep you posted!
